Respected Hakeem sahib, Aasalam-o-alikum, I am a regular reader of Ubqari magazine from last few years. I am sending you the details of a self-witnessed incident. This incident is based on 100% reality. I am a retired army officer and during the war of 1971, I was doing my service in Sialkot base. One day at the time of Zohar’s prayer I was sitting in my JCO that a young soldier of 19 licenses entered in my office, he saluted me and informed me that their vice-commander “Malik Muhammad Khan sahib’ has called you, who has just returned from the operation area and has bought a martyred along with him. This vice-commander was my village fellow and was also my friend. During the war days, we always remain in our uniform. I quickly stand-up. The JCO of 19 licenses was almost 15-20 yards away from my place. There was only a road in between. I crossed it and quickly arrived there to “Malik Muhammad Khan sahib’. I saluted him and shake his hand. At that time, some young soldiers were removing the dead body from the vehicle; they placed the dead body in the porch on the couch (Charpai). I questioned, “Malik Muhammad Khan sahib’ that sir who is he?  He said, first saw his face then I will tell you the details. When he removed the blanket from the dead body’s face, then It was half sleeping young man, whose face was as fresh as a rose, with beautifully scattered hairs and light mud can be seen on his face and his lips was looking like he is laughing I touched his cheek and I feel the warmth in it. I thought that this soldier was martyred 5-6 hours ago afterwards “Malik Muhammad Khan sahib’ has confirmed my doubt. Face of the dead body was very calm that I can see the glance of light which I have never seen before in any dead body. I wish to keep looking at that face and to keep observing the spiritual light on his beautiful face; despite of trying I cannot move my eyes from that attractive face.

I was shocked when “Malik Muhammad Khan sahib’ called me, I turned and looked at him; he said come here I will tell you the details, I was shocked as well as confused and sat on the chair. His beard was grown, due to restlessness of consecutive nights he was looking very tired, he was looking at the dead body with eyes full of tears, and said, this young soldier was from my troop, he was a driver but from the last two days he was courageously supplying the ammunitions that because of his performance our soldiers could stop the enemies.  Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed helped his fellow soldiers without taking care of his life it is difficult to find such example. During this try a burst from the enemies hit him and he passed away. By looking at his bravery and performance our CO has reported this to our high authorities and now our CO and Brigade commandant are about to reach here so that this martyred can get a military honor. However, Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed was honored with “Nisahan-e-haider”. This was the self-witnessed incident.
